EVS Volunteering. The month of June has been a busy month for the volunteers we have sent to Romania. In Băilești, Irene, Alberto and Cathaysa have not stopped doing things. Language classes, workshops, events with other organizations, etc. Classes end during the summer, but the activity continues in Băilești. From the host organization, ACT, they tell us in this chronicle, with video included, how was the month of June for our team.

EVS Volunteering. Everything good ends ... And so it has happened with EVS "Action Change Things"in Craiova (Romania), where there were four volunteers from the Mundus Association. Marta Aparicio, Inés Peinado, Elisabet Clariana and Belen Hafner have finished their volunteer experience with a good taste in the mouth and many things to tell. The organization that offered volunteering, also called ACT, sent us this very complete dossier with everything the volunteers have done in these months.

ESC vacancies. Asociación Mundus in cooperation with Fundació Tallers is looking for two male volunteers to join a group of 6 volunteers in total as part of the European Solidarity Corps programme. The volunteers we are looking for must be between 18 and 30 years old, residents in a programme or partner country and willing to share their time and initiative with people with disabilities.

This volunteer project is co-financed by the European Solidarity Corps and covers the flight, accommodation, food and pocket money, travel insurance and language course (OLS). 

Strategic projects. The meeting of partner organizations of the KA2 project is held from July 10 to 13 Media(c)tion Between Cultures (Mediculture) at the headquarters of Asociación Mundus Barcelona, in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Two representatives of each of the entities participate in it: Mundus (Spain), CPIA (Italy) and Associação Animam Viventem (Portugal). 

Third meeting for the partners of the Europe for VET + project in Wroclaw (Poland). We went to Wroclaw to define the next steps in the Europe for VET + strategic partnership. The objective of this project is the exchange and the standardization of good practices in the field of the vocational training mobility. We also had the opportunity to visit some local companies that have successful stories in hosting Erasmus + students.

Erasmus + training course. “EntrepreRurial Leaders in Action” has been an Erasmus + training course with the main objective of training young workers and youth leaders with a broad spectrum of business skills adapted to the rural environment that they will transfer and implement towards the main target group: young people with whom they work in rural areas. During the course, participants acquired knowledge about the basic aspects of entrepreneurship and practical skills to establish, implement and organize their own business adapted to the realities of the rural environment.

The course lasted 7 days and was held in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, from June 17 to 24, 2019. Asociación Mundus sent to Juan Antonio, María and Daniel, three Spanish participants eager to soak up knowledge and ideas. Read his testimony.

Practices in Zaragoza. It is the second time that the technical school Powiatowy Zespol Szkół Nr. 1 from Kryzowic, Poland, comes to Zaragoza to carry out his mobility project with veterinary and horse breeding students. Magdalena Walicka-Klimiuck is the teacher of French and German, and has been the companion of the group in this month of stay in Zaragoza. Keep reading to know more!

EVS testimony. We are still receiving news from Craiova, where Irene Felices, Alberto Castro and Cathaysa Esther Martin are carrying out their volunteer project, which aims to promote the same volunteering and support young people to find their project and help them join the European Solidarity Corps.

Erasmus + Training Course. The European project "From me to EU" welcomes 30 participants from the city of Zaragoza in a workshop on the reception of migrants in Spain. This workshop brought together people from different fields (families, youth centers, social workers) to reflect on how migrants are welcomed in Zaragoza, especially in neighborhoods where the immigration rate is higher.

KA2 strategic project. The training course "Getting started to support WBL mobilities" is held in Zaragoza from June 9 to 15, one of the planned activities of the KA2 project of which we are part, "WBL: the entrance to professional future". This is an initiative funded by the Erasmus + program to help organizations in the field of youth and education to create a European network and expand mobility opportunities so that young people can improve their professional profile.

Erasmus + VET. A teacher from the Escola Pia de Sarrià, Barcelona, ​​and two from Institut Lacetània, Manresa, did a shadowing job in Malta, organized by our ImproveAway partners, thanks to an Erasmus + vocational training scholarship. Both centers have Erasmus + education projects, through which both students and teaching staff can complete a training stay abroad.

Erasmus + VET. Sergi Marín is a student of the Escola Pia de Balmes and did the internship in Italy thanks to an Erasmus + scholarship. From November to March he had the opportunity to learn with the team of Officine 8K, a programming company located in Bologna. After four months there he tells us how his experience has been.

KA2 - STRATEGIC PROJECTS - The second study visit of the Edu-Action 2.0 project, a strategic training project of which Mundus is a partner, was held in Kisumu (Kenya) between June 5 and 8. On this visit, participants have been able to learn first-hand from youth centers to the Kenyan Ministry of Education to learn best practices against early school leaving.
