Local action. We are looking for 5 young people (between 18 and 30 years old) from the provinces of Barcelona and Girona with initiative who want to create, design and implement a local project. Each winning proposal will receive €1,000 to carry out the projects, mentoring by Mundus Association, and every winner will attend a training course and an international conference in Macedonia (in March and October).

SAAM project starts in Brussels with an advance meeting, before the “kick-off meeting” that will be in April. 

This meeting has been the first occasion to put in contact some of the partners and explain the activities and the key points of the project. 

From the 10th to 13th of February, the leaders of participant entities have learnt about roles, responsibilities and timing of each one of the planned activities. The kick-off meeting with all 
participating entities will be held in April in Nairobi (Kenya).

Online training course. We are launching the online training course for youth workers who want to boost their facilitation skills in the field of local, national or international volunteering projects. It will take you up to 30 hours to complete the course, which is 100% online and free for anyone who works in the youth field. 

Asociación Mundus will coordinate the largest project to date to work in Vocational Education and Training (VET) between Europe and Africa. SAAM project (Supporting Alliance for African Mobility) has been applied by the professional training organization Centro San Viator (Bizkaia) and it is coordinated by Asociación Mundus. It has been one of the sole two projects chosen for approval, with a funding budget of over 4 millions euros.

Asociación Mundus – Un mundo a tus pies, located in Zaragoza and Barcelona, has been designing, coordinating and implementing different European projects for several years. These projects aimed at the international mobility of European youngsters. Its main activity is sending and hosting VET (Vocational Education and Training) students throughout Europe.

Within a first-order VET Pilot Program, we coordinate a project that will pilot mobility flows of VET teachers and students during 40 months internationally, in addition to a series of results in educational curricula pathways. The project is bringing together more than 36 international partners. The management of this project requires a project manager and a project technician.

BELLE. Belle is a web platform that was developed with the aim to bring closer and easier access to opportunities of life-long learning for adult people. It is composed by six learning modules in seven languages of the European Union.

Strategic projects. Edu-Action 2.0 is finishing and during this week we had the last meeting in Palermo, after two months of job shadowing. Edu-Action 2.0 is an initiative funded by Erasmus+ that aims at finding joint solutions to reduce early school leaving through non-formal education.

Strategic projects. “Una vuelta al Mundus” is the title of our event of the 12th of December at the Pompeu Lab Center in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. It was a great opportunity to travel aroud “our” World, our Mundus, without leaving Santa Coloma. 

European Solidarity Corps vacancie. Mundus Association is looking for 1 ESC volunteer 18-30 years old for a long term European Voluntary Service project which will take place from december (ASAP) 2019 to June 2020 (6 months) in Barcelona and surrounding areas.

VET Hosting. On 26th November, Mundus’ VET Hosting coordinator Federica Sonneti went to Larissa (Greece) to attend the second transnational meeting of the project Work based learning-The entrance to professional future. This meeting brought together partners from Italy, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Cyprus and Spain. 

Strategic partnerships. Kristjan Karu has been the Edu-Action 2.0 participant who has done his job shadowing in Spain. For a month, he has had the chance to get to know and participate in different educational initiatives that in different ways are related to non-formal education and early school leaving (ESL). During the month he has spent in Barcelona, he has written a diary about what he has done and how he has felt. Don't miss it!

Training course in Palermo. From 2th to 6th of October, four members of our team went to Palermo (Italy) to take part in a training course in the field of the strategic project Mediculture. 
The main topic of the training - called LTTA (Learning, Teaching and Training Activity) - was the integration of diversity in adult education.

European Solidarity Corps. From the 21th to 26th of October, our 22 volunteer were in Girona for the OAT “On Arrival Training”. The training aimed to help them to understand what are expectations, opportunities and wishes of their own ESC projects.  
 

VET STUDIES. From 15th to 18th October we were in Helsinki for the European Vocational Skills Week. This is an annual event promoted by the European Commission to foster and recognize high quality standards at the level of Vocational Education and Training.
